Past Events in 2009

19th Sept 2009 Open Day at Grimsbury Farm

Save Warmley and Siston Green Spaces had a stand at Grimsbury Farm. See below pictures from the day.

6th August 2009 Open Day Warmley Community Centre

Jill and Maureen went to looked after the open day, helped for a while by Jacquie, Anne, Jackie D, John and Steve. £10 was raised for campaign funds from the sale of cake's, car stickers and badges. 57 objection letters and some post cards were written.

5th August 2009 Shortwood Village Fair

Jill and Maureen manned the information table at the fair even though it was a cold and windy day. The gazebo had to be tied to Maureens car to stop it blowing away! £6 was raised for campaign funs from the sale of cake's, car stickers and badges. Ron, Jacquie and Lilly also attended for a while. Most importantly 40 letters of objection were written, some more were taken away (to somewhere warmer). These will be returned to Ron later. This demonstrates that even under adverse conditions people still feel strongly enough to come out.
